The Sore Chops Boogie

This piece was written as a teaching tool for the Bonelab project at Dartington International Summer School.  We had a large number of players hard at it for 12 hours a day, and I thought we should have a nice gentle and above all rhythmic warm-down piece.  I recycled something I'd written for a long-defunct TV series called The Biz.

The piece is scored for any number of players and their friends: a lot of it is in unison and very gentle offbeat handclapping acts as a rhythm section.  To my faint surprise, it seems to get used as a concert work as well.
